State Rep. Ann Bollin of Brighton Township has been appointed to serve on the executive committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).

NCSL represents the legislatures in the states, territories, and commonwealths of the United States. Its mission is to advance the effectiveness, independence, and integrity of legislatures in support of state sovereignty and protection from unfunded federal mandates.

“NCSL is a great organization that offers many beneficial resources that lawmakers in all 50 states rely on,” Bollin said. “It’s a tremendous honor to be selected to serve on the executive committee. I’m looking forward to working with leaders from across the country to help steer NCSL’s work this coming year.”

Bollin is currently serving her second term representing southeast Livingston County in the Michigan House, where she serves as the Assistant Majority Floor Leader and chairs the House Elections and Ethics Committee and serves on the House Appropriations Committee. She previously served for 16 years as the Brighton Township clerk.
